The African music globalisation movement continues to gain momentum,
and the attention turned to the African music industry by the
international community, continues to grow. The likes of Wizkid, Davido, Olamide, MC Galaxy, Tiwa Savage and co. continue to gain recognition on the international music space and Mayorkun recently joined the movement.
Mayorkun’s hit single, Mama was
recently played during recess at an NBA gamebetween Dallas Mavericks
and Oklahoma City thunder. This news would be welcomed by the singer,
his many fans and lovers of African music, as shows that the horizon for
African music is broadening.
